Super EPA
Fluidity and function of cell
membranes, particularly in the retina and brain
A rich source of long-chain omega-3 fatty acids. EPA
(Eicosapentaenoic acid, C20:5 w-3) is an omega-3 fatty acid that is
present in high quantities in cold water fish. Oils prepared from such
fish as cod, mackerel, salmon, and shark also are enriched in
docosahexaenoic acid (DHA, C22:6 w-3). Both these fatty acids are
important for maintaining the fluidity and function of cell membranes,
particularly in the retina and the brain.*
