Here are some general guidelines:                                           Back To:   Ultra Clear    or    UltraClear Plus

Choose UltraClear® IF:

Choose UltraClear Plus® IF:

  • You have multiple chemical sensitivities, severe allergic reactions and similar issues, and/or

  • Have overall decreased vitality and general fatigue with multiple symptoms from multiple chemical sensitivities, chronic fatigue syndrome, other chronic conditions, and/or.

  • Have experienced an exacerbation of your symptoms when on a previous water/juice fast, a rapid weight loss program, or the 'regular' UltraClear Program (see above), and/or

  • Your health practitioner has recommended UltraClear Plus specifically, and/or

  • You are under extreme external stress, and your 'constitution' is weakened, and/or

  • You ARE taking any pharmaceutical medications, over-the-counter drugs or similar substance.

Note: If the clinical differentiation between the two products is not clear in your particular case, starting with UltraClear Plus is the wise way to proceed.

UltraClear Plus

UltraClear Plus provides the same same excellent nutrient-rich base formula as UltraClear, with added assistance for those who are "imbalanced detoxifiers" - that is, people who have low Phase II activities. When a person has low Phase II activities, the resulting metabolic imbalances lead to an accumulation of intermediate metabolites and free radicals (see this).

Why is UltraClear Plus more effective than UltraClear for "imbalanced detoxifiers"?

In addition to providing all of the key nutrients found in UltraClear that support balanced Phase I and Phase II activity, UltraClear Plus also provides the following nutritional factors that further support enhanced Phase II activity:

Glycine is used in the synthesis of glutathione, which is vital to hepatic antioxidant capacity and full detoxification. Also, Glycine is one of the cofactors used in Phase II amino acid conjugation reactions.

Taurine supports Phase II amino acid conjugation reactions. Like glycine, it plays an icritical role in the biotransformation of environmental toxins.

Sodium sulfate provides inorganic sulfate needed for Phase II sulfation conjugation.*

Catechins from decaffeinated green tea concentrate  defend against increased hepatic stress. Furthermore, research suggests that these polyphenols stimulate the transcription of Phase II detoxifying enzymes, which may contribute to their anticarcinogenic effect.*

Pantothenic acid is provided in higher levels than regular UltraClear to better support the production of energy (ATP) required for these detoxification processes.
