I have this idealistic notion that everyone should 'become their own doctor'. I don't necessarily mean everyone should go out and get a medical degree, or chiropractic license, but that you should take full responsibility for your own health, wellness and personal growth.

After all, the President of the United States has a Cabinet he consults with. A corporate CEO has a Board of Directors. These successful people have one thing in common: they inform themselves fully - from many different view points - and then make the final decision on their own. They don't turn over their intelligence and personal decision making to a 3rd party.

You shouldn't 'just turn over your health' to a doctor, or health care practitioner. You should become the President and CEO of your own well-being.
